Technical Consultant [United Kingdom]

About us

We are a small tech company that have developed time and cost saving decision support tools used in health and care services.

We are early in a new collaborative project, developing a product that will reduce costs, increase security and improve the work of counsellors and therapists working primarily in the voluntary, charitable and social enterprise sector.

We are motivated to be and to work with others who are socially responsible. We want to make a living but we prefer to do this in a way that brings benefit to people in need and to the services trying to help them.

Our immediate goal is to grow our Secure, Affordable, Digital Health Platform through collaboration and co-development with service providers and cyber security specialists.

Our vision embraces a more democratic approach to health information, providing service users with more control over their data and open access to wellbeing resources, preventative self-care, and treatment options.

We are looking for a Technical Consultant with a strong full-stack development background to work with our early-revenue, socially responsible company on an irregular and as-required basis. Although the right person might have a development background, this is not a freelance developer role. We are looking for someone who wants a long-term relationship who is interested in working at board level and who might eventually hold a stake in the business.

Although an hourly rate will be agreed, the ideal candidate will be motivated by our vision and willing to delay significant financial reward until post revenue. Experience as a technical cofounder or CTO in a small tech business is desirable.

The Technical Consultant will assist the CEO and liaise with our cybersecurity partners. They will understand our product development and provide ad-hoc technical support to the team, help to troubleshoot issues, and advise on the meeting of data governance and data security requirements. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to support service providers working primarily in the voluntary, community and social enterprise mental health sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Technical Advice to the CEO.
  • Understand and have an overview of product development
  • Advise on technical solutions
  • Advise on Data Governance
  • Liaise with cyber-security, data protection partners

Remote working is viable. Proximity to Cornwall would be ideal.
